Some horror fans believe that the only films worth watching are those that are rated R.

Why is scary movie rated r. Parents need to know that as usual the MPAA gives a PG-13 rating to material in a comedy that would get an R-rating in a drama. The two movies I noticed that have erect penises that are R are the South Park movie and Scary Movie but the penises are detached. The plot such that it is revolves around a bunch of stereotypical teens targeted by a crazy killer determined to dispatch the whole gang.

It and Get Out have signaled that audiences still want old-fashioned blood and guts on. Im totally ok with scary movies being rated R just for being too scary. Rated R for strong crude sexual humor language drug use and violence.
